Architectural Assistant Part l/ Part II /Part lll Uxbridge, England
Job description
Preferably an experienced Part 2 architectural assistant or Part 3/ Architect needed in Hillingdon, UB10 (but consideration would be given to a Part 1 architectural assistant with SketchUp experience).
Working full time for a small home-office-based practice (the principal with 30 years of experience to share) whose niche is small fiddly jobs undertaken in a pragmatic, practical and holistic way.
Mostly domestic work, interspersed with one-off smaller projects (e.g. occasional new-build dwellings and flats, conservation area work, community facilities, business premises extensions and reorganizations, associated planning appeals, etc).
Required attributes:
-to be able to use/ work with Sketchup confidently - this is absolutely needed (other software experience welcomed) to create detailed planning applications + basic project animations
-be comfortable/ confident working in a cosy music-filled environment
-be a good listener and quick learner
-having your own transport/ car may be useful re visiting clients independently (but we’re close to bus routes)
-be interested in detailing buildings/ extensions for construction/ building control approval purposes
-be able to wave a thick pencil around to create/ sketch thought processes by hand;
-presentable and happy to converse directly with clients
-energy and drive, great time management skills
A just-qualified architect would be particularly welcomed.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Salary dependent on qualification and experience, 40 hours per week, we rarely work overtime
Experience: Architectural practice: 1 year (Preferred but not essential)
Education: Master's (Preferred but not essential)
