ARCHITECT – RESIDENTIAL

We need a highly motivated Architect, who will be instrumental in delivering high-quality designs for a range of clients, leading a project team to deliver the designs on time and on budget. The successful applicant will be responsible for several exciting mixed-use projects, combining sports, leisure and residential uses, and have a balance between design, technical and co-ordination skills.
Multi-unit residential experience is essential, as well as proven experience of residential projects in the London area.
The role will be home based but will require some travel around the UK to meet our client needs. There are also regular company-wide work gatherings and regional social meetups held throughout the year. This role is full time, but at S&P we pride ourselves on our approach to flexible working.
The role will involve leading projects and meeting deadlines, so management skills and experience are essential. You will be employed to work on several large-scale projects, where you will have the opportunity to bring in your own creativity and style to the practices design.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Minimum of 5 years Post-Part III UK experience
Excellent written and spoken English
Knowledge of REVIT and NBS Chorus is desirable, but we can offer in-house REVIT and NBS Chorus training to the right candidate
Proficient in AutoCAD and some InDesign experience
Excellent presentation and report writing skills
Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team to meet shared objectives
Ability to pay close attention to detail
Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and planning policy
Track record of managing projects through a range of RIBA Work Stages
Track record of leading large multi-disciplinary teams
Friendly and personable
Ability to lead as well as work as part of a team
Interest in sustainability and low-energy design an advantage.
