Wiltshire Council are looking for an Archaeology, Landscape and Design Manager to lead on delivery of work within the Natural and Historic Environment Service.

About the role
We are looking for an experienced manager with a proven track record of managing a diverse team of specialists. Your team will provide advice on complex planning applications, the protection and preservation of archaeological sites and historic monuments including the World Heritage Site of Stonehenge and Avebury and you will lead on the development of new policies and strategic advice. The role requires working with a wide range of stakeholders including planners, other specialists, consultants, statutory bodies, elected members and the public. The role is predominately office based, with some site visits.
About You
You will be a strong leader and manager that is solution focussed, comfortable with working independently and able to communicate clearly and negotiate confidently. You will have relevant management experience and will have professional knowledge of at least one of the specialist areas within your team as well as a good understanding of the planning system.
