Job Description
We offer tailored 1-2-1 and 2-2-1 swimming lessons to anyone over the age of 3. We’re looking for a lively, enthusiastic individual to join our hardworking team, in the water as a swim instructor. This is a fun, creative role with the opportunity to expand into other areas of the business over time. You will be required to work as part of a team and independently delivering the highest quality of swimming sessions. * Level 1/2 Teaching in aquatics * and NPLQ qualifications required.
The Aquatics Instructor must have the following essential skills and/or experience:
- Level 1 or higher swimming instructor qualification
- Ability to work to the aquatic activities plan and implement new initiatives in line with the strategic plan
- Demonstrated experience of delivering a full swimming pathway from learn to swim to high performance swimming
- Quality control of all activities within the swimming pathway
- Monitoring progressions through all elements of the pathway with the ultimate goal of ensuring the opportunity for high performance swimming
- Experience of delivering learn to swim and school programs
- Deliver the innovation strategy as outlined by the Aquatics Manager for new products to increase revenue income and user engagement
- Hold NPLQ Life guard qualified or willing to gain.
- Experience of running aquatics teaching for schools, clubs and public
- Skills to carry out maintenance activities in accordance with the facility maintenance schedule
Desirable skills are:
- Supervisor experience in a swimming pool or sports environment
- Experienced risk assessor
The role reports directly to the Aquatics Manager
