The Digital and Computing Team at South Staffordshire College are looking for an experienced L3 IT Apprenticeship Practitioner to teach, develop, support, and assess apprentices working within the IT & Digital environment across a range of disciplines and levels. This is set against the Information communications technician standard. They will be responsible for classroom delivery at our Tamworth campus, currently on a Tuesday and a caseload of training in the workplace, ensuring timely achievement of all qualifications.
The successful applicant will have current occupational teaching, training, and assessing experience of IT Apprenticeships. They will have a good understanding of the apprenticeship standards and End Point Assessments and can deliver across a number of standards and qualifications including but not limited to Information Communication Technician, Network Engineer, IT Solutions Technician and Software Developer. They will should gave level 5 qualification or above in a relevant subject, together with both an A1 or equivalent assessors award and a Cert Ed or equivalent teaching qualification.
They should have good communication skills, and the ability to work as a team and to use own initiative.
This position will include delivery on and off site, so a clean driving license and willingness to travel is essential.
