Process Operator
As a process Operator Apprentice you will work alongside highly skilled and experienced Process Operators and be part of a team at the Dow site that Operates the Production units. The production units range from batch processes to high complex continuous process units. Process Operators carry out field checks on process equipment. Monitors process conditions, key performance metrics, equipment and control systems and makes appropriate decisions to maintain and/or achieve desired rates and conditions aligned with Plant/Site/Business goals.
Laboratory Apprentice
As a process Laboratory Apprentice you will work alongside highly skilled and experienced Analytical Technicians and be part of a team at the Dow site that supports manufacturing operations by conducting laboratory analyses and evaluating results, as needed, which provides critical data. The role includes training to perform routine analyses under the direction of senior team member until proficiency is demonstrated. Performing basic preventative maintenance of analytical systems. Providing evaluation of validity of data for routine analyses and takes appropriate action. Monitoring of analytical systems and escalating problems as appropriate.
Mechanical
As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician Apprentice, you are an integral part of the DOW site. Equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes and pipework need daily attention. It will be your responsibility to maintain, repair or replace them with a very hands-on approach using specified tools. PPE is extremely crucial for personal safety, chemical suits are often worn for jobs that involve working with certain substances. You will fill out reports and job feedback sheets at the end of the day to inform colleagues and handover any problems encountered along the way.
Electrical or Instrumentation
As an Electrical or Instrumentation Technician Apprentice, you will maintain Electrical and Instrumentation systems along with the components that make up the different plants on site. You will work alongside an experienced technician who will supervise all work carried out. Electrical jobs mainly consist of working with motors, fuses, trace heating panels, distribution boards, earthing, making off cables, diagnosing and fixing electrical faults.
The Instrumentation jobs mainly consist of working with pressures, temperatures, and flow & level instruments
Calibrations are carried out to check the instruments are running accurately and efficiently. These instruments may become faulty, requiring some fault finding and then removal and installation of new equipment.

  • For CV’s to be considered, must have the qualification with grades, Year of Birth and current location.
  • You are allowed to work in the United Kingdom
  • You can speak and write in English fluently

Apprenticeship duration:
Programs vary between 3 and 4 year depending on which apprenticeship you are on.
