Salary: £43,516 to £46,549 per annum.
Working pattern: Full-time, 37 hours per week. Flexible working, to be discussed with hiring manager.
Contract: Permanent.
Location: Chichester, with hybrid working options, requirement to come in once a week.
As one of our Apprenticeship Consultants you will actively promote and encourage apprenticeship take up by staff working within our Children, Young People & Learning, Adults’ & Health and Public Health services
You will offer advice, guidance, and support to identify appropriate apprenticeships with your customer groups. You will engage Heads of Service and Hiring Managers to understand, define and forecast their requirements for apprenticeship training for their teams.
Your role will be extremely rewarding as you will be responsible for the life cycle of apprenticeships, from commissioning to end point assessment. Therefore, you will be able to watch your support benefit both the candidate and the Council.

Key skills and Qualifications
Experience
- Ability to listen and question to define a client's requirement, summarise the information, diagnose the problem, offer a viable solution and gain approval for the recommended proposal efficiently.
- Ability to build strong, long-term relationships with both internal and external partners.
- Ability to research, analyse and interpret information to produce high quality reports/briefs which plan long term policy and business implications and set timescales and make recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence managers and heads of service to invest in staff development via apprenticeships
- Ability to develop and deliver plans over the short (1 year) to medium term (3 year) timeframes.
- Ability to mentor learners and monitor their progress.
Desirable qualifications and equivalent
- OD/L&D related qualification or experience.
- Assessing and quality assuring qualification programmes.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Demonstrate experience of engaging leaders at a strategic level, negotiating and providing service solutions.
- Working with apprenticeship contracts, standards and frameworks.
