As an Apprenticeship Coach you will:
Motivate, support and progress a caseload of learners to achieve apprenticeship and city and guilds qualifications. Monitoring and reviewing any learner issues on a regular basis and taking any action where needed.- Accountable for completion of learner initial assessments and set individual learning plans in partnership with line managers and employers where appropriate, ensuring learners are supported through their programme
- Obtain and disseminate feedback from learners, line managers and employers to help drive performance. Working with the apprenticeship team on continual improvement planning and ongoing development of apprenticeship provision
- Accountable for regular reviews with learners and employers
- Set learning objectives and action plans that provide stretch and challenge and support employer objectives
At EMR we are One Team. We want our managers to be able to support the front-line delivery of our services and understand the role our frontline teams play in service delivery. Therefore, a key element of this position is that, you will form part of our Contingency Manager Team. Our Contingency Managers are trained to work in safety critical customer facing roles on train to ensure we can smoothly operate our service to our customer in the event our front-line teams are unavailable. To be successful in this role you should:
- Degree level or equivalent level of experience
- Experience as an assessor or Coach would be beneficial and a coaching qualification is desirable but training can be provided
- A teaching qualification is desirable, but training can be provided
- Recent and relevant occupational experience and competence in railway operations e.g. guard competence is desirable
- The right style to motivate and coach individuals
- IT skills essential - SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint

EMR has a hybrid working policy which is applicable for this role. This means the role can be based at home 2-3 days per week and in the office 2-3 days per week. Should you wish to work full time in the office this is also an option.
