ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
To work in a supported operational environment to develop the skills and knowledge required to attain the position of a Fitter within the Stansted Business Units. Learn how to repair / overhaul a variety of aircraft components ranging from Generator Control Units (GCU’s), Generators, Valves, Oxygen Cylinders, Escape Slides, Life Rafts to Fire Extinguishers.
- Actively participate in their own development plan, which will be agreed with the line manager and the assessor from the training provider.
- To undertake relevant training and operate plant as directed.
- Gain an appreciation of how each Business Unit operates and functions
- Develop an understanding of the stages and procedures required to overhaul and repair a range of products across both Business Units.
