Job Title: Apprentice Electrical / Electronic Repair Technician

Contract Type: Apprenticeship

Location: ST5

Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 (20% of which will be allocated for study time)

Salary: Year 1: £12,500 per annum, Year 2: £21,730 per annum

About the role:


We are looking for our next pair of Apprentices to join our growing team of Electronics Repair Technicians.


On completion of the 3-year Apprenticeship, you will earn a Level 3 Qualification in Electronic Engineering.


Our team of experienced technicians will support you in learning a wide range of skills in the service and repair of Industrial Electronic Controls (i.e. industrial grade PCBs, timers, counters, PLCs, drives, monitors and temperature & process controls). You will learn how to use a range of test equipment (oscilloscope, multi-meter, function generator) and test fixtures, and also how to read, interpret and follow electrical wiring diagrams to facilitate fault analysis and product repair.

About the requirements:


  • GCSE minimum grade C’s (Level 5) in a science subject, Mathematics and English – or an equivalent/higher qualification
  • The aptitude and desire to learn in a Technical environment
  • Have a logical approach to problem solving
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Attention to detail
