APPRENTICE ELECTRICIAN

This apprenticeship is offered by Integral, based at the Manchester Arndale Shopping Centre. The apprentice will work towards passing the AM2 exam, enabling the candidate to qualify as an Electrician.

The Electrical Installation City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 offered as part of this three-year craft apprenticeship are provided by a local training provider. The candidate will need to live within the Manchester area.

The apprenticeship:

Health, Safety & Quality

• Responsible for attending site inductions, reading the site safety procedures and adhering to all safety instructions.

• To work with and take direction from an Integral Supervising Operative.

Education

• Qualifications required; minimum GCSE grade 5 in Maths, English & Science

• Will attend day-release at a local training provider for the hours required

• To study for and pass exams in order to progress in the apprenticeship

Site Work

• Will shadow an Integral Electrician to gain all the necessary experience over the 3 year apprenticeship

• Responsible for attending site at the times required, with a positive & constructive attitude.

• Responsible for striving to achieve the targets set by the Integral Supervising Operative in a safe and efficient manner.

• Will be required to undertake tasks not specific to the apprenticeship from time to time to deliver within the contract's SLAs.

Desired skills, experience & qualifications:

• Ability to work carefully, methodically and safely

• Experience of ‘hands on' work

• Tech savy

• Ability to prioritise work and manage a number of tasks concurrently

• Ability to complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner when working under pressure

• Good written and verbal communication

• Ability to work effectively with colleagues and other stakeholders to resolve problems

• Organised and ability to time-manage work load
