Apprentice Data Analyst

What’s it all about?

Throughout this apprenticeship you will gain the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to become a capable Data Analyst. The broad purpose of a Data Analyst is to ascertain how data can be used in order to answer questions and solve problems. Data analysis is a process of requirement-gathering, inspecting, cleansing, transforming and modelling data with the goal of discovering useful information, informing conclusions and supporting decision-making. Data analysis has multiple facets and approaches, encompassing diverse techniques under a variety of names. In today's world, data analysis plays a crucial role in making decisions more evidence-based and helping organisations operate more effectively.

How long does it take?

The apprenticeship will take up to 3 years to complete.

Where is the role based?

This role is based in Southampton. You will be expected to attend regular workshops with Cambridge Spark (these will all be online).

What are the entry requirements?

  • GCSEs at grade 4/C or above in English and Maths.
  • A Levels (or equivalent)
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Good customer management and relationship skills.
  • Able to use own initiative and make decisions.
  • Resilience, with the ability to maintain professional and positive attitude in a customer-facing environment.
  • Effective and efficient time management.
  • Able to work with senior stakeholders and maintain confidentiality.
  • Good computer skills and knowledge of relevant software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

Contract length: 36 months

Salary: £18,500.00-£20,500.00 per year
