A leading manufacturing and production company in the Stowmarket area are looking for an apprentice to support their team, whilst completing a business administration apprenticeship. Working in a busy department, you will be assisting with the production of 2D drawings, calculating estimates and dealing with enquiries over both phone and via email.

Duties:

• Take enquires over the phone and follow up on calls and messages, remaining professional at all times
• Respond to email enquiries
• Process orders via the in-house database.
• Support the design team to produce 2D bespoke, technical designs for precast products.
• Gain knowledge and understanding of the material properties.
• Work with the CAD and production team to understand the manufacturing processes and construction method.
• Gain an understanding of costing's and calculation by working with the CAD team, enabling estimates and quotes to be produced.
• Attend site visits under supervision.
• Work towards the understanding and knowledge of the engineering design principles.
• Adhere to company practices and procedures
• Develop working relationships with all personnel within the business
• Be a brand ambassador, promoting a professional company and personal image.

To be considered for this exciting Apprentice CAD Technician, you will need the following.

• Strong and confident communication skills
• The ability to build relationships within teams
• Confidence working with IT programmes
• Drive, passion, creativity and great problem solving capabilities
• A commitment to be punctual, dependable and reliable.
• An awareness for Health & Safety

Benefits:

• Hours of Work: 08:30- 17:00 (40hrs per week)
• £16,000 to 18,000
