Job description
The post holder is responsible for providing reception and administrative support to the North East London Diabetes Eye Screening Programme. Responsibilities include reception duties, data entry, making appointments, typing and sending appointment and clinic follow-up letters, and general clerical duties required to support the service.
Key duties include:
- Provide the first point of contact for patients, carers and visitors attending the Diabetes Retinal Screening Team
- To ensure that incoming telephone calls are responded to in a timely fashion and to ensure that the reception is manned at all times
- Booking and rescheduling clinic appointments for patients attending the Retinal screening clinic
- To produce documentation for the Team in order to support service provision

Eligibility for this apprenticeship
- Applicants 18 years old or over.
- Must have been resident in the UK / EU for the last 3 years (evidence needs to be provided)
- If you already hold this level or higher level qualification in the same field, you arenot eligible to applyfor this position.
- Continuation in the post will be subject to successful enrolment onto the apprenticeship within the first three months of employment, and will also be subject to you remaining on the course and successful completion.

Duration: 18 months
Course Type: Apprenticeship Standard
Apprenticeship Delivery: Work based qualification. A tutor will visit you every 4-6 weeks in your work place.
