We have an exciting opportunity to join the Onboard Experience team at British Airways, covering a minimum of six months parental leave cover.
About the role
The Onboard Experience team designs, develops and delivers the airline’s onboard proposition. The role will require you to be commercially and financially astute to help guide investment cases through corporate governance, making valuable contributions to the decision-making process along the way.
The role leads a team of five commercial executives, partnering with procurement, finance and across the wider business. They will also lead the Commercial Roadmap for the department, ensuring that commercial changes are signed off on time.
Key duties
- Responsible for governance of all service contracts held for the provision of inflight experience
- Accountable for contract governance program, monitoring and communicating key performance indicators
- Coordination and communication of the departmental and supplier meeting cycles, with required inputs clearly outlined.
- Collaboration with airline product and hospitality to capture requirements for services.
- Key contact for supplier performance concerns, accountable for resolution and closure of issues.
- Primary contact for airline finance, collaborating with development of Business Plan and budget performance monitoring.
- Accountable for supplier pricing and payments, ensuring accurate records held for global supplier base.
- Defines and manages governance and processes to ensure transparency and visibility across the department.
- Coordination of contractual and financial audits of suppliers contracts across the inflight experience operations.
About you
The successful candidate will have a full qualification in either finance or procurement (ACCA, CIMA or CIPS). Keen analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial, whilst experience in an airline or hospitality environment will be considered advantageous. The ability to express commercial reasoning in a persuasive manner is also important.
