About the Role

This position reports to the Global Operations Manager and operates under the general direction of the International Operations PMO. A key element of this role is closely partnering with the transformation non-core applications team to ensure international deployment requirements are considered. You will also monitor applications across the international landscape that will be retired/replaced/retained under the transformation project.

The ideal candidate is an experienced technical resource with broad knowledge of business applications and technical IT concepts, as well excellent communication and problem-solving skills. They need to be capable of applying their understanding and experience of technical principles to develop solutions to a wide range of difficult problems under only general direction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage regular communication rhythms with key BA stakeholders across international.
  • Close coordination with the non-core applications team.
  • Ownership of the international non-core applications list to ensure applications are appropriately dispositioned as retain/retire/replace based on design decisions.
  • Coordinating with product owners to ensure international deployment costs are reflected in overall implementation plans.
  • Creation of international retire/replace high level plans for international non-core applications and communication back to key stakeholders.
  • Ability and willingness to support international activities that occur outside conventional local working hours and to occasionally travel internationally, if required.

Required skills, qualifications and experience

Required Skills:
  • Background knowledge of a wide range of industry-standard business and engineering applications.
  • Proven self-starter demonstrated through related work experience.
  • Proven strong collaboration and team building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (both verbally and written) with all levels of management and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment with only general direction.
  • Committed to personal excellence, ethical behaviour, and integrity.

Desired Skills:
  • Experience as a team lead or project manager, deploying applications to customers.
  • Experience of working in an international environment that crosses multiple time zones, languages, and cultures.
  • Experience working within an agile programme environment.
  • Experience generating project plans, budgets and coordinating efforts across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Experience with SAP ERP and other SAP partner products.
  • Systems engineering knowledge and experience.

Business Environment

Across Lockheed Martin the 1LMX effort is an internal transformation project that will change the way the organisation is doing business. This includes system modernization, consolidation of Business Area processes & practices and cutting edge operations, IT and engineering implementation.

The International Operations team within the 1LMX Program is responsible for ensuring international integration and representation across all areas of the program. Primarily focusing on Australia, Canada, Poland and the UK, the team is responsible for facilitating the capture and delivery of all non-US business and system requirements across all 1LMX product teams.
