Job description
Caledonia Services Ltd is a market leader in the manufacture and repair of Oilfield equipment.
We are currently looking for a Full time API Manual Machinist to join our busy team, in Portlethen, Aberdeen.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operation of manual Oil Country lathes.
- Study instructions, specifications and drawings on job card to determine materials, sequence of operations and machining techniques
- Use and care of measuring equipment: Callipers, Micrometers, Taper and Lead gauges.
- Use and care of API Ring and Plug gauges
- Machine Profile bar stock as per client specification and drawings
- Install and Rework API connections
Requirements
- Competent in the use/operation of manual lathes
- Competent in the use of gauges and measuring equipment
- Competent in the use of overhead cranes and material handling
- Experience in machining API Rotary Shouldered connections
- Knowledge and understanding of API, DS-1 and NS Standards and Specifications
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £16.00-£18.00 per hour
