Job description

The Football Association have an exciting opportunity for an Anti-Doping Coordinator to:
  • Administer daily whereabouts information received from Premier League, EFL and WSL clubs and players.
  • Coordinate the delivery of anti-doping education across the game.
  • Provide full administrative support to the anti-doping team and Integrity team where applicable.

About the Team

Working to protect the integrity of football, this team supports the FA as a business, while acting as a regulator both on and off the field. They get involved in everything from behaviour and regulations on the pitch, to checking contracts – and to ensuring young people can enjoy the game in a safe environment.


What will you be doing?

  • Administration of FA whereabouts process, including (i) checking receipt of weekly club training planners in accordance with stated timescales, (ii) monitoring of player and club updates (iii) filtering and processing of club whereabouts information (iv) and identification of potential rule breaches by clubs and players
  • Responsible for writing to clubs who fall foul of the regulations by; providing inaccurate whereabouts information or providing late schedule submissions.
  • Responsible for the ‘Incorrect Whereabouts Submission' (IWS) and ‘Player Not Present' (PNP) processes from start to finish, including reviewing daily individual whereabouts submissions, out of competition mission forms and writing to players to issue missed test strikes/warnings where applicable.
  • Coordination of the delivery of anti-doping education across the game, to include the mandatory pre-season Integrity club visit schedule and academy anti-doping programme.
  • Delivering education to players and club Staff in relation to anti-doping/integrity matters
  • Liaison with IT department to ensure the correct operation of the Online Whereabouts System at all times.
  • Liaison with the anti-doping team regarding drug testing events, including identification of potential changes required to scheduled testing.
  • Liaison with administrators, club secretary's and medical staff as required
  • Executes additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group changing priorities.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained.
  • As part of The FA's commitment to ensuring a safe environment for everyone in football, every employee will be required to complete a DBS check. The level of the check required will be based on the activity of the specific job role and in line with legislation and government guidance.

What are we looking for?

Essential for the role:
  • Demonstrated administrative experience, preferably in a data-management role
  • Ability to produce statistical reports to a high standard
  • Experience reviewing information and using this review to provide assessments on how to move forward
  • Good understanding of football
  • Experience providing excellent customer service
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office

Beneficial to have:
  • Experience in anti-doping or related field
  • Ability to handle extremely confidential data and to discuss confidential issues discreetly.
  • Experience in delivering presentations
