Job Advert Description
South Wales Police are looking to recruit a full time Animal Welfare Assistant. You will form part of a small team who look after South Wales Police’s dogs and horses. The main responsibility of this role is to take care of all aspects of the day to day care and welfare of the animals. This includes cleaning, grooming, exercising etc., ensuring that animals are prepared and ready for operational duties. Liaising with officers within the department and ensuring that the yard and work areas are kept clean and tidy.
IT skills are required to update and use the databases utilised by SWP to record and manage information in relation to the animals and associated tasks.
We are looking for people who will project a positive image of South Wale Police. This is important as visits to the site are regularly arranged for organisations and groups, wishing to learn more about South Wales Police.
This role is suitable for part time/job share workers
The successful Candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to RV Vetting.
