Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who loves working with Animals to join our dynamic and hard-working team at the Chalkwell Kennels.

If the thought of combining animal care with the Security industry appeals to you and you share our company values, we would love to hear from you.

We have full and part time roles available:

  • Full Time - working on a 3 on 2 off shift pattern
  • Part Time - working Saturday's and Sunday's - 08:00 to 18:00

About the role of Kennel Assistant:

It is the Kennel Assistant’s role to look after the welfare of animals in our care from cleaning, grooming and feeding to one-to-one enrichment – be that play time, exercise or just a cuddle.

There is a high degree of cleaning in this role including cleaning the kennels/cat units, exercise runs and general housekeeping of the kennel and cattery environment to the high standard that we pride ourselves on.

This job isn’t glamorous – mud, paw prints and pet hairs are part of the uniform! – but the interaction and bonds you build with the animals is hugely rewarding.

We are looking for a Kennel Assistant to join our team, operating at our Chalkwell site. With access to training and the ability to gain qualifications, you can grow in confidence and take on more responsibility.
