Here at GXO, we are currently looking for a HR Specialist to join us at our ASOS site in Barnsley. You will have a unique opportunity to join well-established, fast-paced HR operations on a logistics site with over 3,500 employees under one roof. Looking at the data and trends you will detect any issues and proactively work on their solutions as well as take care of the compliance side of the site’s HR.
This is a full-time, permanent contract role working Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 17:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £38,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days of annual leave (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Actively track and measure the site’s HR key metrics such as absence, attrition, resignations, or sickness (just to name a few) to detect trends and draw conclusions
- Working alongside HR Analyst, you will identify and implement solutions to occurring trends to make a positive impact
- Look after the site’s HR compliance regarding processes, SLAs and documentation ensuring readiness and passing the audits
- If required, get involved in complicated and escalated employee relations activity
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous experience in a similar role, providing generalist HR support to a large population
- Experience in analysing HR data and KPIs
- Strong, up-to-date knowledge of employment law and HR policy, practice and procedures
- The ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels – this could be anything from our population to our leadership teams
