This position is on a self employed basis. Salary is depending on experience starting from minimum wage upto £72 a day.
We are looking an experienced kennel worker to work within our family business 4 days a week each one of those days will be a weekend. Someone who can work on their own but also as part of a team.
We are a small family owned Boerboel (South African Mastiff) breeding kennels. Our new team members must be serious in becoming a permanent part of the team with a genuine passion for dogs, who will take great care in looking after our dogs & keeping them in the best possible health at all times.
This job is NOT suitable for someone looking to earn extra cash and as a stop gap job. Our dogs need reliability & consistency as they are not a fan of change.
Animal based qualifications are welcome, but not necessary.
Duties to include
- Feeding dogs
- Giving basic medication
- Mucking out
- First aid treatments
- Checking dogs over for changes/ wounds/ seasons etc.
- Bathing Dogs
- Cleaning Kennels / Exercise areas to a very high standard
- Keep track of stock levels
- Moving dogs around kennel areas
- Exercising Dogs
- Occasional loading dogs into vehicles
You must be hardworking, honest, reliable and able to work within in a small dog crazy team.
You will need to be able to drive.
