Animal Care Assistant Dunfermline, Scotland
Job description
We are looking for an animal care assistant to join our busy kennel, cattery and small pet hotel until October, with the possibility of extending this. Duties will include, daily cleaning of kennels, pens, cages, runs, enclosures, deep cleaning of areas as instructed, providing exercise and daily care, including walking, feeding, administering medications to all types of animals in our care. The ideal candidate must have a hands on approach to working, will be willing to work in all weather conditions, be confident in dealing with animals of all sizes and personalities, willing and able to interact with our customers and potential new customers.
Previous experience working with animals is essential.
We are offering a minimum of 22.5 hours per week split over five mornings/afternoons, typical hours of work would be a 7.30 am start until 12 noon and in the afternoons if required between 2- 5 pm, these hours will vary as the needs of the company change, i.e. more hours during the summer season, less through the winter season.
This role will involves working at the weekend on a rota system .
