The position
By joining our team in Marketing, Midstream & Processing you will have the opportunity to:Be part of Equinor gas value chain in a fast-paced and dynamic commercial environment, working closely with traders and originators, with responsibilities, primarily, for bringing in the cash from trading activities into Equinor accounts.
Ensure that gas trades are recorded correctly and accurately in our systems in a timely manner and enable accurate P&L reporting.
Work on tasks including counterparty confirmations, daily reconciliation and validations of trades, settlements, and regulatory reporting (REMIT, EMIR and MIFID) with a high focus on financial (SOX) and regulatory compliance.
Contribute to Equinor growth within gas trading, including its global gas financial trading activity.
Contribute to the improvement of processes, through automation and simplifications as applicable and develop best practices to support our gas trading strategy.
Contribute to several ongoing IT and business development projects with broad stakeholder engagement.

Candidate with previous experience preferred in energy space, primarily within Gas Marketing and Trading.
Structured and result-oriented colleague with a strong commercial and analytical mindset and a high focus on details.
A team player comfortable with multi-tasking in a fast-paced and dynamic commercial environment, flexible and proactive, curious and willing to take on new challenges and tasks, delivering high quality work within tight deadlines.
Passionate individual with a strong drive for improvements, best practice, business understanding and commercial awareness and the ability to see the full gas value chain.
Solid proficiency in MS Office 365 and digital skills, e.g. VBA, PowerBI and Power Automate to enable simplifications and automation are preferred.
A professional with previous experience in energy (or financial) trading environment, including the different types of trade and requirements associated with each of them and financial trading an advantage.
Accounting and SOX compliance, regulatory reporting, EMIR, MIFID and REMIT related to commodity trading as well as SAP/ETRM systems experience beneficial.
