Our AIM department in Aberdeen are now looking for a Document Controller. This is a part-time position, working 40% Full-time equivalent
What will you be doing?
- Provide an effective Document Control service to Project
- Ensure the timely turn around of documentation issued internally or received externally.
- Support, and where appropriate, mentor the personal development of department team members.
- Assist with Life Cycle Information/Documentation for Operations final handover.
- Ensure controlled close out of projects.
- Prepare project documentation for archive
- Establish an effective Project Document Control environment.
- Develop project specific procedures, and reporting formats to meet project requirements.
- Ensure project procedures are aligned to client requirements, such that Life Cycle Information/Documentation for Operation requirements are met and costs minimised.
- Provide internal and external reports to ensure project deliverables are met.
- Participate in client presentations with regard to DCC issues.
We think you should have:
- Good knowledge of electronic data management systems
- Awareness of all relevant corporate and project procedures.
- Good knowledge of technical library (inc. codes and standards, and legislation)
- Vendor data control
- Engineering and design document control.
- Construction and installation document control
- Presentation and meeting skills.
- Good communicator at all levels within the organisation and with external clients.
- Ability to delegate, and be a good time manager.
- Must be a ‘team player’
