Position Overview
QIC Private Equity (“GPE”) makes primary fund investments and co-investments into companies alongside leading fund managers in venture capital and private equity in North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. The GPE team comprises 15 investment professionals based in London, Copenhagen, Brisbane and San Francisco. The primary responsibilities of the GPE investment team include the development and maintenance of relationships with leading private equity managers, associated primary fund commitments and co‐investments, investing and divesting secondary positions, performing market research and delivering client service.
About the Role!
Based in London, the Analyst role will become the fourth member of a close-knit European investment team and have opportunities to work alongside the North American and Asia-Pacific teams. The role will focus on assisting the European team across all investment diligence and client service-related activities as well as information management and reporting. Due to the expanding nature of the platform in Europe, the successful candidate will gain significant market and investment exposure and have the opportunity to truly make an impact in the implementation of GPE's strategy.
The role will also include the following responsibilities:
- Actively contribute towards the mapping and monitoring of the European Private Equity market; collating and analyzing market data, tracking activities of target Private Equity Managers and identifying new fund formation.
- Take ownership for performing topical research aimed at gaining a deeper understanding of target segments, sectors, and underlying investment themes.
- Actively assist in the investment due diligence process; aggregate information, identify gaps and questions, and validate findings utilizing different sources of information to exercise sound investment experience and judgment.
- Provide operational support throughout QIC’s internal investment governance and decision-making process.
- Represent QIC in various capacities, including client meetings and industry forums.
- Actively liaise with the global team to ensure workflow and data management processes are effective. This includes ensuring the Northern Hemisphere teams have access to meaningful data sets related to deal flow pipelines, fund and portfolio company performance data, client reporting requirements and any data required for investment diligence.

We are ideally looking for a candidate who has a strong work ethic, is a self-starter, intellectually curious, task orientated and with a keen interest to build a strong skillset and industry network across private equity and venture capital. Specifically, we are looking for a motivated team-player who wants to take this opportunity to build a long-term career within an entrepreneurial and meritocratic team.
With a strong academic track record and at least 2-4 years of professional employment experience, we are very open to where and how you may have gained your educational and professional experience to date. Having a financially focused background in investment banking, asset management and corporate finance or consulting would be very beneficial, though it is not a requirement. Business acumen and intellectual curiosity are essentially what we are looking for.
Due to the global nature of our organisation and this role, this Analyst will need to be flexible to work across global time zones. This does mean regular early morning and/or late calls to connect with colleagues internationally. The upside of this, is that the role has great flexibility for you to work out what working pattern works best for you, so you can accommodate this requirement to suit you. You also must be willing and able to travel in Europe and occasionally to Australia.
