We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join the GBM Strategy team as an Analyst.

In this role, you will:

  • Undertake analysis to support the development and track execution of GBM strategy.
  • Collate and analyse information from multiple sources – both external and internal – to inform strategy (e.g., Refinitiv, Coalition, Dealogic, TM1 internally, etc).
  • Develop key insights for GBM strategy, with strong basis on financial analysis.
  • Effectively communicate to internal stakeholders – within GBM strategy, across strategy colleagues in the bank and across other functions within GBM and Group.
  • Undertake development of presentations and quantitative modelling in rapid, accurate, and insightful manner to support the analysis.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to track performance of key Group initiatives in line with broader Group strategy.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Have a sound knowledge of basic financial ratios, income statement and balance sheet items.
  • Background of working in Financial services or a consulting firm is essential.
  • Possess well developed analytical skills, capacity to process high volumes of complex information and synthesise key themes and issues; proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint
  • Ability to work independently and able to work in a small team with a flat structure to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience of stakeholder management.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills.

The base location for this role will be London.
