We currently have an exciting new vacancy for an Air Traffic Engineering (ATE) Apprentice to join our Air Traffic Control Services team at Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
As an ATE Apprentice you will be assisting to maintain, repair, modify and ensure the safe operation of communications and navigational services for the safety of aircraft in flight and on the ground in accordance with statutory and regulatory requirements and ATCSL Safety Management Systems.
The successful candidate must have excellent team working skills, be determined, hardworking, and have good eye for detail.
Responsibilities include assisting with the maintenance and restoration of Air Traffic Navigational Aids equipment and ensuring serviceability is maintained. The candidate must be able to prioritise and be able to work safely cooperating with Company policies and procedures.
Working mainly standard office hours with some occasional flexibility when required by the business, you should liaise with the team and supervisor effectively to ensure high standards when maintaining or repairing equipment.
The candidate should therefore be highly motivated, disciplined and display real enthusiasm for the role. They must be able to work well under pressure and be adaptable when required.
The applicant must have Maths and English GCSE Grade C or equivalent. Ideally you should also have had experience in an Engineering or Science subject and hold a valid UK Driving Licence (not essential).
