SUMMARY: The Bell Captain greets guests with a warm welcome at hotel entrance and provide services related to the transportation and storage of luggage and provide other guest services.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Load and unload luggage carts
- Tag and store luggage
- Escort guest to hotel rooms
- Provide an overview of guest room, hotel services and amenities
- Make deliveries to guest rooms
- Assist guest with room changes
- Maintain list/brochures of local attractions, transportation guides, churches, sports arenas, etc.
- Perform house attendant functions when staff shortages occur
- Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction
- Perform other duties as requested by management
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must possess basic computer skills
- Must be able to respond to guest requests and business volume quickly and efficiently
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Previous customer service and supervisory experience required
- Previous hotel experience preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Continually required to stand and walk
- Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
- Occasionally utilize visual acuity to operate equipment and use a keyboard
- Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
- Continual exposure to outside weather conditions
- Must have a valid driver’s license if required to operate a company vehicle or guest vehicles
