Agile Delivery Manager

The Domain is accountable for technology design, development and operations for all applications and system that provide Data Analytics & Modelling services to the Bank.
As the Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of agile IT delivery leading to the successful end-to-end implementation of IT solutions.
You will lead with energy and passion to achieve the outcomes required by the Bank, whilst motivating the IT delivery team, acting as servant leader enabling them to meet commitments and be at their best.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage the delivery of the end-to-end technical solution in-line with the bank’s delivery methodology and governance.
- Ensuring appropriate agile practices are adopted. E.g. SCRUM ceremonies.
- Facilitating the creation of IT estimates that feed into the overall project budget.
- Collaborating and planning with multiple teams and areas to support delivery of the technical components.
- The agreement of scope and delivery plans in conjunction with Product Owners, resource managers, Business representatives and Project Managers.
- Management of the RAID log, escalating exceptions as required.
- Clear and concise communication in relation to the project’s status to senior stakeholders.
- Championing agile delivery methodologies, building understanding and capability across the domain.
Role Requirements
Essential Criteria
- Certification in agile delivery methodologies.
- Proven, successful delivery of IT projects using agile methodologies.
- Ability to engage, motivate, coach and mentor others to meet the team commitments.
- Demonstrable experience of building trusted and open working relationships across the organisation and at varying levels of seniority.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to plan for the whole IT delivery considering dependencies, risks and issues, feeding into the overall project plan.
- Good experience with Jira & Confluence or similar packages.
- Experience of software technology and development processes, particularly Scrum, Kanban, Test Driven Development, and agile delivery.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience using the Government Digital Services (GDS) SDLC.
- Ideally experienced with associated IT qualifications such as ITIL, or other associated indicators of a proven background in technology change management.
- Experienced in commercial awareness and supplier management.

This specific role offers a base salary of between £61,100 - £78,300 per annum, along with our comprehensive benefits package as follows:
• A non-contributory, career average pension giving you a guaranteed retirement benefit of 1/95th of your annual salary for every year worked. There is the option to increase your pension (to 1/50th) or decrease (to 1/120th) in exchange for salary through our flexible benefits programme each year.
