At a glance
This is a hybrid working role, therefore your time will primarily be split between working from home and the Bracknell or London Head Office. However, there will also be an expectation to visit other locations as the need arises.
Contract type
This position is a Fixed Term 12 months - Please note this is not a contractor day rate role.
About the role
We have more exciting opportunities to join our process team as an Agile coach for a 12 month Fixed- Term Contract. In this role, you will be responsible for teaching and enabling agile practices within teams at the Partnership across the entire life cycle, focused on creating business agility and maximising value creation. You will with teams across the business, from those already skilled in agile ways of working to those embarking on an agile learning journey, to take new products and strategic priorities from idea through to implementation.
The ideal Agile Coach will be responsible for working with teams to understand what they need, building a development plan and delivering suitable coaching, mentoring or training interventions with the goal of improving performance and value delivery.
We are looking for a passion and responsible for delivering customer and business value through the development of high performing cross- functional teams.
What will you be doing?
Champion agile adoption throughout the organisation by working with teams and driving the use of agile tools and processes. This may include coaching in SAFe, LeSS, Scrum, Kanban, and/or Lean.
Work with existing agile teams to diagnose where there are issues or opportunities to continually improve team ways of working or performance.
Provide practical and contextual coaching guidance to a number of individuals and teams, both technical and non-technical, including leaders.
Leverage appropriate agile principles tools and techniques to help the Partnership adopt and embed new ways of working aligned with the needs of the customers and business.
Train Partners/teams in Agile and Lean principles, and then help the team members put their training into action.
Evangelise agile ways of working across the organisation and industry to drive awareness and adoption, create engagement and ensure we are at the forefront of latest thinking.
Lead the set up of new agile teams, reviewing the going performance of established teams and resetting teams where necessary.
Trial and develop new techniques and establish patterns and standards for agile ways of working.
Actively participate in a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.
Be an active member of the profession, building a Community of Practice within the Partnership.
Essential Skills
Experience as an Agile coach, working with multiple cross-functional teams.
Experience in delivering agile training.
Agile frameworks and/or coaching qualifications.
Proven ability to articulate agile methods, tools and terms to teams and executives alike.
Knowledge & experience of Agile teachings, approaches, behaviours and of helping both teams and the wider organisation to address the dysfunctions that may result from teams and others misinterpreting, ignoring or rejecting Lean and Agile values and principles.
What else could you bring? (Desirable Skills)
Experience in working with non technical teams to introduce and hone agile ways of working to deliver customer value.
Experience in developing training and have an understanding of how people learn
