Working within the Partnerships and Involvement Team, you will be required to:
- Promote and uphold the United Nations Human Rights Principles for Older Persons and facilitate participation and engagement opportunities for older adults aged 50+, to ensure their views are heard and listened to in decisions that impact on their lives.
- Support the work of the "Ageing Well Steering Group" and facilitate partnership activity relevant to the participation and involvement of people aged 50+.
- Plan, deliver and evaluate mechanisms to ensure the appropriate participation and engagement of older adults aged 50+, to co-produce services and projects from the emerging local "Ageing Society" strategy and action plan which contribute to fulfilling Swansea's commitment to becoming an "age Friendly City".
- Support the implementation of the National Principles for Public Engagement on a local level in relation to work with people aged 50+.
This is a full-time post (37 hours per week), working on a flexible basis and the needs of those being engaged with. Currently you will be required to carry out admin work from home but much of the role is face to face engagement within the community.
