The Operations Team at Proptech have two posts available & are looking for enthusiastic people that are looking to progress their career within the aviation sector.
- Purpose of role:
Carry out Propeller repairs and overhauls.
Working in line with manufacturers’ and regulatory requirements to meet the customer’s expectations of turnaround time, delivery date and quality standards.
- Key Responsibilities
Propeller Repair and Overhaul
Hands-on completion of MRO activities in accordance with company procedures and OEM manuals, which will include elements such as:
Perform repairs to components & fit replacement parts.
Perform Detail Inspection of all propeller components.
Perform composite repairs.
Assemble components & assemblies.
Additional Tasks
Build propellers/products to defined standards ensuring fit, clearance & modification levels are accurate.
Participate in off-site field repairs.
Assist in training other team members ensuring best practice standards are maintained.
Facility
Assist with regular equipment maintenance tasks.
Uphold high levels of cleanliness and housekeeping throughout the working environment.
Proactively identify elements of processes, equipment and facility that may benefit from improvements.
Additional out of hours cover will be required (overtime). Traditionally around 10%.
Safety
Use of PPE as directed is mandatory.
Report any safety issues immediately.
- Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
Ability to read, write & converse fluently in the English language.
A recognised engineering aeronautical or mechanical apprenticeship.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience of using precision measuring instruments.
Desirable:
Experience of working under own supervision.
Experience of working within the aviation sector on propulsion equipment (rotors, propellers & control units), rotables &/or composite components.
Experience of producing condition reports for customers components.
Previous experience using Aerotrac (tracware’s process control software).
