Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is hiring an Entry Level or Associate Aerodynamics Engineer in Oklahoma City, OK to join the Flight Systems Capability Aerodynamics Team, with the opportunity to provide engineering and technical decisions for Boeing Military Aircraft (B-1B, B-2, B-52), Military Derivative Aircraft (AEW&C (737), AWACS (707, 767), ETS&S(C-32/C-40, E-4B, VC-25A, VC-25B), Tankers (KC-135, KC-767)) and other diverse aircraft and projects.
This role will provide an excellent opportunity to learn aircraft aerodynamics analytical methods, tools such as computational fluid dynamics, and other skills needed to generate aircraft flight performance data charts and assess stability & control characteristics for these various platforms.
On the job training will be provided, initially working under close supervision. Some of the general activities will be to assist with the design and analysis of aerodynamic flight vehicles to ensure that requirements are met. This position will also assist with certification and qualification processes of the aerodynamic characteristics of flight vehicles.
Position Responsibilities:
Assists with the design and analysis of aerodynamic flight vehicles to ensure that requirements are met.
Supports the development of new and improving existing technologies, tools and processes to enhance technology readiness, improve vehicle performance and reduce cycle time and cost.
Assists with development of test requirements (e.g., wind tunnel, ground, flight, accident and incident and product support testing of aerodynamics) of flight vehicles.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Must possess Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
Experience or coursework related to Aerodynamics engineering
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering, with Aerodynamics or Aerospace emphasis
Familiarity with aerodynamic analysis principles, processes, methods, and aerodynamic testing of flight vehicles
Familiarity of aircraft performance and stability & control
Basic understanding of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) Analysis
Basic understanding of wind tunnel and flight testing of aircraft designs
Programming experience (e.g. Python, FORTRAN)
Typical Education/Experience:
Entry Level (Level 1):
Typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
Associate (Level 2):
Typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range:
Entry Level: 60,350 – 81,650
Associate: 71,400 – 96,600
Oklahoma Tax Credit:
