Job description
Due to continued success and growth, Lancer Scott has an opening for a HSEQ Advisor to join its established team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and further promoting a positive H&S culture, collaborating across all areas of the business. We work predominantly in the south but at times right across the UK so a willingness and ability to travel the UK, and occasionally stay away, is a must.
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking construction site and FM engineer inspections.
- Assisting project teams and managers, advising on best practice and improvements where necessary.
- Reporting on the findings of site inspections and issue close outs.
- Assisting with safety risk assessments, method statements, Construction Phase Plans and associated documentation.
- Investigating and reporting on accidents, incidents and near misses.
- Presenting Company inductions and tool-box talks.
- Supporting the completion of PQQs, accreditations and client assessments.
Required Skills and qualifications:
- A recognised safety qualification, ideally NEBOSH or NVQ.
- A sound working knowledge of the construction industry and best practice within it.
- Good IT and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A first-rate moral compass, determination, and robustness.
- Willingness to learn.
- A UK driving licence – a company vehicle will be provided.
Desirable Skills include:
- Some knowledge of quality and environmental management systems.
- Membership of IOSH
You may be early on or well into your H&S career; we have a very strong and established team already and so can be flexible in considering the right candidate.
