Job description

Would you like to be part of a small charity that makes a big difference?

SMART has been delivering services to people experiencing homelessness and other complex needs since 1996.

We believe that everyone needs a little help sometimes and that with trust, respect and honesty people can make incredible changes. We help our teams and the people who use our services to fulfil their highest potential by offering respect and believing in them. We encourage honesty and openness in all that we do and we believe that trust is the foundation of all charitable work.

We currently have vacancies for bank workers covering day and night shifts available across multiple locations in Bedford and Milton Keynes.

You will assist caseworkers with the implementation of support plans and provide support to service users in the absence of caseworkers. You will be required to help to maintain the safety and security of the building and complete basic office duties. Assisting visitors, responding to queries from service users and external agencies are key to this role, so it is crucial that you have good communication skills. Prior experience of living or working with complex needs will be favourably considered.

Successful candidates will need to demonstrate an understanding of the issues affecting vulnerable people and a caring, respectful and empathetic approach. All successful candidates will receive training and induction.
