The IT Strategy and Growth Advisor acts as a senior IT advisor/liaison for IT business development and strategic growth. The ideal candidate strategizes for IT future projects based on current operations and future enterprise/company/departmental goals. This position requires through knowledge of past and current operations and capabilities, staying up to date with the current IT departmental operations, customer facing engagements, and internal entities.

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Develop a deep understanding of the company’s core and future business to build and maintain relationships between departments.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the company’s mission, culture, and values to assess and recommend strategies, avenues, and areas to increase capabilities to meet the needs of future contracts and support the growth of the organization.
- Collaborate with Strategic Growth and Strategic Sourcing on opportunity assessments, proposal development, and assess possible vendors and partners.
- Assists with the creation of capability expansion plans and/or future implementation plans to include staffing, equipment, skills, and certification assessments.
- Manage IT projects, primarily for IT network infrastructure, and network customer sites.
- Evaluate existing enterprise data structures to make recommendations for improvements or optimizations.
- Develop detailed concepts and designs for technology utilized by customers.
- Collaborate with business partners to draft technical requirements that clearly articulate the design, and network architecture.
- Oversee field IT needs across the organization, manage project budget costs, business risk, and evaluation of time and materials.
- Perform research for future business opportunities, identify leads, conduct sales calls, formulate sales pipelines, and act as a business account manager.
- Plan and oversee new marketing initiatives.
- Use strong client management skills, including the ability to develop and maintain lasting relationships with government and industry partners.
- Perform general administrative functions.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment and field environments. We operate 24/7/365, inside and outside, in all weather conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, smart phones, tablets, photocopiers, filing cabinets and other presentation materials. There is an expectation of clear communication in English both written and orally.

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to twist, turn, bend, lift, kneel, climb, and stand. Occasional lifting to 25 lbs. may occur. Employee may be required on occasion to travel (at organization expense) in automobile and/or aircraft. Expectation of exposure to weather (heat, cold, rain, snow) as operations occur in all areas of the country with potential for overseas travel.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position based remotely. Typical office hours 8am-5pm M-F, however, must be available 24/7/365 as needed. The ability to work flexible hours including nights, holidays, and weekends is required based on contract needs.
Travel
Up to 40% (at company expense). Travel is dependent on business needs.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field, required.
- 6+ years of experience in IT strategy, sales, and consulting.
- Demonstrated track record of driving revenue growth and achieving business targets.
- Thorough understanding of US government regulations impacting IT such as FAR updates, CMMC, etc.
- Knowledge of project requirements, building plans, blueprints, schematics, and layouts
- General knowledge of Information Technology hardware and software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting, as well as coaxial, fiber optic, Cat-5, and other cable types.
- General knowledge of ground up setup of secure wireless networks, printers, sensors, biometric scanners, and alarm systems/cameras.
Desired Credentials
- PMP or ITIL Certification
- NASP - CPSP
- CompTIA A+, Network+, and/or Security+ are desired.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS).
- Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, and a background check after accepting a conditional offer of employment.
