Advanced First Aider
About Response Event Medics Ltd
Response Event Medics (REM) works in association with Community Education Skills 4 Life first aid training. REM was open to business late 2020 by a small close-knit team who have a vast experience in event management and in providing medical supervisions.
About the role Type: Independent Contract Agreement
Location: Yorkshire & UK as required
Hours: Minimum of 4-to-12-hour shifts (varies)
Reports up: REM Operations Manager
Team: Operations
JD Reff: AFA.01
Treating patients within the agreed scope of practice and making referrals for advanced medical support where required.
An AFA will be required to patrol events, staff first aid posts, and treatment centers to provide first aid resources.
Provide assistance to colleagues, health care professionals, and the wider emergency services where needed with lifesaving interventions.
Always maintain patient & client confidentiality.
Complete paperwork to a high standard, including PRFs, incident reports and driver logbooks.
You will have access to quality CPD and access to a mentor.

Education/Qualifications
Educated to GCSE level or higher
First response in emergency care level three (FREC3) certificate
Safe administration of medication (over the counter) certificate
Safeguarding Level two (Child/adult) certificate (or higher)
BLS certificate
Standard or enhanced DBS certificate & be prepared to take an enhanced check if required.
Have a good understanding of the role and a good knowledge of the current procedures.
Experience
Experience in providing First aid / Care Working in a medical setting / work environment.
Skills & Abilities
Positively represent REM Ltd and yourself delivering a high standard of treatment, empathy, care & customer service at all times
Ability to complete paperwork to a high standard
Capable of performing CPR for a minimum of ten minutes.
Ensure a smart image & appearance at all times while adhering to the standards of dress policy
Make balanced decisions & keep calm in an emergency.
Give a comprehensive & structured report or handover to clinical lead. Work to qualified skill set - showing progression.
Motivation
Work on own initiatives & as part of a team
Mentor new team members at events when required.
Be able to follow company policies & procedures and raise CFC where appropriate.
Willing to travel to multiple locations to support the business requirements & work flexibility on weekdays, weekends throughout the year.
Attend regular CPD sessions and submit CPD on a regular basis.
Job Type: Freelance
Salary: £10.00-£50.00 per hour
