Are you a qualified and registered Social Worker? Are you looking to make a positive difference to those living in Norfolk? If so, joining us in Adult Social Services could be the right move for you.
We have opportunities available for social workers at all levels, including a fantastic Assessed and supported year of employment programme (ASYE) for newly qualified social workers. You can find out more about the ASYE here .
There are lots of reasons to join Norfolk County Council Adult Social Services. These include working in urban, rural and coastal communities, working in a strength-based way, putting the person at the centre of the process, and our local Teaching Partnership, which offers opportunities for further development and progression.
We’ve made some forward-thinking changes to make Norfolk County Council an even better place for our social workers to work. We’ve embraced new ways of working so our social workers can take advantage of great technology and work where they need to.
We’ve created a collaborative environment with strong working relationships with health professionals and partners to achieve better outcomes for the adults we support.
At the core of everything we do is excellent social work. Our ‘Living well’ approach is person-centred, based around a 3-conversation model, which lets our social workers get alongside people to help them live their lives as independently as possible.
And our superb support culture means social workers can really thrive, with help, advice and support on hand when needed from managers, and great opportunities for career development, wherever you are on your social work journey.
We’re realistic about the challenges, but we’re passionate about how we can support you to meet them, so you can enjoy the rewards social work has to offer.
