The Faculty of Humanities is one of three faculties in The University of Manchester and consists of four Schools that offer an unprecedented range of innovative programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
The Faculty is looking to appoint a full-time Admissions Coordinator’s on a permanent basis. The post holder will:
- Co-ordinate the delivery of all processes relating to admissions for undergraduate, postgraduate taught provision and also encompassing CPD and other non-standard admissions that use the online application form or require the creation of a student record and supervise the work of one of the school facing admissions teams.
- Support colleagues to embed locally and University-wide a culture of excellent service provision and continuous improvement, placing the student experience at the heart of what we do, with support for a single PS team working flexibly across organisational boundaries.
- Support senior colleagues in the delivery of visit days, interviews, tours, open days working in partnership with the Student Marketing and Recruitment team.
The successful candidate should have up-to-date knowledge of student admissions, be able to supervise and motivate staff and have excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage a large workload and prioritise tasks to meet strict deadlines. Furthermore, they must be prepared to undertake work outside regular office hours including weekends as necessary. The University operates arrangements to recognise this working pattern and to ensure an appropriate balance between working and non-working time.
The main focus of this role would be on UG and PGT Conversion. You would be responsible for developing and implementing targeted and tailored conversion activities across postgraduate taught (Masters) and undergraduate programmes, ensuring a high quality, customer focused service. Building strong relationships and working closely with the Programme Academics, Admissions team and Marketing Team.
