To drive growth by ensuring the delivery of a high quality, personalised admissions strategy from enquiry through to enrolment. Proactive performance management will be the absolute key focus and ensuring the sales pipeline is the key tool used by all to spark discussion to drive insight and improvement where needed.
Key Accountabilities
Admissions Management
- Manage a Comprehensive Admissions Strategy in each school: Develop a tailored strategy for each school based on their unique attributes and market position (as provided by the marketing team).
- Development of admissions operational plans: The agreed strategies should be translated into operational plans that are innovative, frictionless and pragmatic. Guide school Admissions Teams to deliver the plans effectively at every stage, ensuring barriers are overcome and continuous improvements are made.
- Pipleline Management:
- Ensure a well-understood process is in place for Pipeline reviews with all schools
- School by School Enrolment Targets: Set and review enrolment targets for each school, taking into account their individual market positions and capacity. Monitor progress towards these targets and adjust strategies as necessary to ensure targets are met.
- Trends: Analyse trends in the admissions pipeline of each school, including drop-off points, and reasons for non-conversion. Refine the admissions process accordingly and improve the prospective families’ experience.
- Team Support and Training: Support the admissions teams to understand their needs, build a ‘sales’ community, and assist in training where necessary to meet enrolment targets. Ensure the sharing of best practice is in place.
- Collaboration with Marketing Team: Work closely with the marketing team to confirm the strategy and ensure that the admissions experience is streamlined and supports a coherent approach by ensuring that schools’ unique selling points are effectively communicated to prospective families.
- Reporting on Admissions Performance: Prepare and present regular reports to the POD leadership team on admissions performance. These reports should provide a detailed analysis of pipeline trends, conversion rates, and progress towards enrolment targets, as well as any insights and recommendations for strategy adjustments.
- Stakeholder Relationship Management: Build and sustain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including School Senior Leadership Teams, Admissions Teams, Agents and educational consultants.
- Compliance with Regulations and Ethical Standards: Ensure all admissions processes comply with relevant regulations and ethical standards, using data to monitor compliance and identify any areas for improvement.
Who we are looking for:

- Numerate with the ability to understand, manipulate and interrogate data to understand patterns, trends and gain commercial insight.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to deal with people on all levels with sensitivity, tact and diplomacy.
- The ability to work well in a complex network of teams using negotiation and relationships to achieve your goals and targets
- The ability to determine clear processes.
- Able to operate with autonomy and authority, with the ability to use your experience to clearly articulate your opinion.
- Overall successful track record but with failures (learnings) along the way.
- Prior experience of managing direct customer contact in sales and customer service.
- Previous experience of working in a complex, busy, service-driven environment.
- Confident and adept in use of Excel, CRM (MS Dynamics an advantage), Management Information Systems (such as SIMS/iSAMS), cloud based applications and data analysis tools such as Power BI.
- An understanding of the highly competitive independent schools marketplace or experience in a related student recruitment or sales environment would be an advantage.
