Job description
Part-time, 22.5 hours per week
Salary: £13,886 - £14,548 per annum
(FTE: £23,144 - £24,248 per annum)
The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts is recognised as a world leading centre of excellence for creative learning and vocational training within the performing arts and creative economies. We enjoy an international and national reputation for the quality of our teaching, our world class facilities and an enviable track record of graduate employment and alumni successes.
Reporting to the Admissions Manager, you will play a key role in a small and busy team responsible for processing applications, organising audition/interview days, and supporting admissions tutors, as well as handling a wide range of e-mail, telephone and face-to-face enquiries and issues. The role is therefore both demanding and customer-focused, and you will need to have excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills. The ability to work under pressure with strong attention to detail is also essential.
The ideal candidate will have a strong administrative background, ideally including experience of working within Higher or Further Education. You must also be highly organised, multi-skilled and have a keen eye for detail, as well as being a pro-active team player who can support internal and external stakeholders. As the role will involve responsibilities linked to LIPA’s admissions and student records systems, you will also need to be highly computer literate.
In return we offer a highly creative working environment that will inspire you to fulfil your potential and training opportunities to develop your skills and experience, competitive salary commensurate with experience, pension, generous holiday entitlements, and complimentary tickets to our inhouse productions.
This is a permanent post to commence as soon as possible.
Closing date for applications: Friday 29th September at 12pm
Interviews: Thursday 5th October
