Job description
We are seeking an experienced Administrator to join our team on a maternity cover basis until 28th October 2024 in the Occupational Safety and Health Services Department, providing a wide range of administrative and customer support.
In this varied and interesting role, you will undertake a range of administrative activities whilst also providing helpdesk support for the online institutional safety management system. You will regularly arrange and minute meetings and committees as well as be responsible for supporting ongoing departmental office activities including assisting with organising safety training and co-ordination of personal emergency egress plans.
To be successful in this role you will need to be a good team player with excellent organisational and administrative skills to support the Senior Leadership Team with a range of departmental wide activities. In addition to which you should have:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills as this role has regular contact with senior staff members and involves delivering training on the use of the safety management system to all staff
- The ability to maintain effective administrative systems and work processes
- Experience in an administrative or similar role, including such tasks as: making hospitality arrangements, committee servicing, writing minutes, diary management, preparing agendas, reports, and correspondence
- Strong skills in the use of all Microsoft Office packages
Whilst this post is offered as full-time (5 days per week), we would consider 3 or 4 days per week for the successful applicant.
