Administrative Officer
West Moors Middle School have an exciting opportunity to welcome a new member of staff to our Administration Team. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, offering a friendly, efficient service to parents and visitors and will be able to undertake a broad range of administrative tasks for the Senior Leadership Team with enthusiasm and initiative, working alongside our Finance and Business Manager and office administration staff.
The successful candidate will be:
- Responsible for ensuring that the Senior Leadership Team is supported in aspects of their work including confidential matters;
- Able to provide high level and professional administrative support to the dynamic team of school leaders;
- Able to use own initiative with excellent time management skills;
- Supportive, hardworking and able to work as part of a team;
- Confident with ICT and the use of Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel;
- Willing to positively contribute to the overall ethos, work and aims of the school.

Hours of work
This role is for 18 hours per week, 6 hours per day on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We are relatively flexible with hours and are happy to discuss what would work best for the candidate. This role is term time only.

West Moors Middle School will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
The pro rata salary shown is based on the number of hours and weeks worked and paid annual leave entitlement for an employee under 5 years’ service.
The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert. The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year.
This role is UK based and your Right to Work will need to be established as part of the appointment process
