The team
There are 14 people in the Private Client Department, including 3 Partners, 2 Senior Associates, 2 Solicitors, 1 Senior Trust Manager, 1 Trainee, plus 5 support staff.
The role
Our Private Client department are looking for an admin assistant to support the busy team. This is an entry level role, perfect for college leavers as full training will be given.
Primarily reporting to the Senior Trust Manager, the successful candidate will assist with accounting and tax compliance in the broad fields of capital taxation, succession, and trusts.
This varied role with involve mainly the following tasks:
- Posting receipts when funds come in
- Preparing requests for transferring funds
- Drafting different types of accounts – i.e. trust, estate, charity company
- Drafting tax and IHT returns using bespoke software
- Drafting letters and correspondence
- Updating client and trust summaries and family trees
- Assisting with other duties as and when required.
Candidate specification
- Minimum of 3 A levels including Maths
- Team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Numerate with a head for figures
- Excellent computer skills including Word and Excel
- Willingness to learn – no prior experience required as full training will be given
- Genuine interest in a career in the Private Client law sector at WS
