The role

The Sport, Exercise and Health Division are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to provide administration support to the Sport, Exercise and Health Division. The successful candidate will have a varied role supporting the administration requirements for Bristol Moves participation programme, customer and colleague support for our Leisure Management systems (Legend and CoursePro). The successful candidate will also provide support for financial procedures relating to systems for example direct debit processing and use of MyERP and project support for colleagues on Airtable.

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the income generation for the division through the provision of an excellent experience for our customers and community. There is a particular focus on service excellence, alongside our strategic priorities (outlined below):

Sport, Exercise and Health strategic priorities:

What will you be doing?

This role will be responsible for providing administrative support primarily to the Bristol Moves and Systems teams (including financial system support across the division). With significant interactions with our customers, the role will support current users of our services and initial interactions with potential users from our University and the wider Bristol communities. They will require independence and initiative, working under minimum supervision to enable the effective delivery of our programmes and services.

The post holder will work with staff throughout the division working on key programmes and systems support, specifically:

  • Bristol Moves+. Our mass participation programme aimed at getting our University community moving! The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our users’ queries and feedback, rewards management (including distribution, ordering stock) and supporting the promotion of the programme through the website and APP platform.
  • Leisure Management system support. Supporting our users and colleagues on our Legend and CoursePro management systems (including our University of Bristol Active APP). This will include solving customer and colleague queries and supporting programme/service analysis through system reporting support.
  • Financial systems. The successful candidate will provide support in relation to our financial systems including direct debit processing, failure reporting and oversight of the direct debit automatic communications.

You should apply if

  • experience of working in a busy sport, leisure, Higher Education environment and/or a healthcare or other clinic environment
  • effective and professional communication skills, with a good level of written and verbal skills and a pleasant courteous manner and experience of communicating with a wide range of customers/clients
  • experience of database administration, user support, and monitoring
  • experience of record-keeping and data management, including confidential data
  • excellent organisational skills and high level of confidentiality
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365
  • experience of updating websites and work-related use of social media
  • Ability to problem solve and make decisions where necessary
