We are looking for a full-time Administration Assistant to join our forward thinking, highly regarded practice. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join a dynamic, friendly and supportive team.
The role is hugely varied, covering all aspects of practice administration. You will need to be computer literate with experience of Microsoft Word and Excel and have excellent communication skills. Previous experience in a GP practice would be advantageous but is not essential. Enthusiasm, initiative, a desire to learn along with a focus on quality and attention to detail are what we are seeking. Full training will be provided along with the opportunity for future development.
Hours of work are 37.5 hours per week, 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday - Friday with half an hour lunch break each day.

Main duties of the job
Working as part of a small busy Admin Team, duties will include:
- Typing and processing patient clinical referrals, ensuring they are sent to the most appropriate specialist team.
- Communicating with hospitals and other healthcare providers to ensure completeness of patient records.
- Processing insurance claims and requests for copies of medical records.
- Managing the movement of patient records.
- Processing incoming post and emails, including scanning and work-flowing of clinical documents.
- General and Clinical filing.
