Job description
Riversley Road Surgery is a 4 partner, town centre training practice in Nuneaton. We provide full general medical services to our practice population of 6500 patients.
The shift pattern for this position involves starting work at 8.00 am and finishing at 6.30 pm. Please do not apply if you are not able to start or finish at either of these times.
We are looking for a part-time receptionist/admin. The role is a vital element of the practice at being the first point of contact with patients and visitors via the telephone as well as face to face. We are looking to recruit additional dedicated team players who are comfortable with working in a busy environment.
Applications are invited from candidates with the following:
- Computer literacy with experience of Microsoft Office and adaptable to a variety of software packages
- Excellent communication skills
- Administration skills, being able to successfully multi task
- Sound numeracy and literacy skills
- Customer service experience having the ability to deal with patients on the phone and in person in a professional and compassionate manner
- Attention to detail with the capability to concentrate on critical tasks
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
We welcome applications from candidates who are experienced in EMIS and DOCMAN software. Full training is provided in both areas to the right applicants.
The position is for a minimum of 32 hours per week, over four days, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday. Candidates must be able to work shifts from 8.00 am through to 6.30 pm and be on available to cover shifts in times of absence.
Rates of pay start from £10.50 per hour with NHS pension scheme available.
