Job overview
You will assist the Major Trauma Co-ordinators in the day to day administration and delivery of Major Trauma health care services, both for acute and rehabilitation across the trust.
You will communicate effectively and concisely with clinical and administrative teams within the trust and within the major trauma network.
You will be responsible for the daily collection of audit data, data entry and preparing reports on key Trauma performance indicators including the Trauma Audit & Research Network (TARN).
Main duties of the job
- Facilitate and maintain a database of all the Major Trauma patients admitted to SRFT.
- Facilitate and management of the Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMS) for major trauma patients
- Support the delivery of a seamless patient pathway of care.
- Contribute to improving quality of care and services

Qualifications / Experience
Essential criteria
- Business Administration NVQ level 3 or equivalent
Desirable criteria
- ECDL or equivalent qualification
- Substantial office experience
- Proven NHS experience
Knowledge / Skills
Essential criteria
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- IT literate with developed skills for the use and application of information technology systems including file management, safe and effective internet use, Outlook, Word processing, Powerpoint, Access and Excel.
- Enthusiastic, highly motivated and committed to developing the service
- Ability to work within a team
- Excellent organisational skills
- Able to prioritise
- Innovative and able to problem solve
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of a range of patient information systems and hospital departments acquired through on-job training
