We believe in exceptional care for both our patients and client. We are seeking a Veterinary Receptionist (Client Care Assistant) to join our practice.
This role will be supporting a team of Veterinary Surgeons, Nurses and Patient Care Assistants.
As a Client Care Assistant, you’ll use your excellent customer service skills to welcome and assist clients before, during and after every visit. Although you don’t need to have hands-on experience working with pets, a love of animals and their welfare is essential.
From handling busy telephone lines and arranging appointments to taking payments, entering test results, and ensuring the consult rooms are fully stocked, you’ll enjoy a busy and varied front-of-house role. You’ll also take ownership of ensuring the reception and waiting areas always look their best.
40 hours a week
Key accountabilities
The duties of the Veterinary Receptionist (Client Care Assistant) include but are not limited to:
Prompt and efficient telephone answering
Dealing with routine client queries
Making appointments
Taking payments
Money handling and banking
General admin duties such as monitoring and responding to emails
Stock Management
Skills and experience
Reception and Administration experience is essential, you’ll also receive support and training. You must share our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you’ll also take the initiative in customer service and have caring, thoughtful communication skills.

No unspent criminal convictions.
Previous veterinary receptionist experience is desirable but not essential.

The clinic is situated on the outskirts of Guildford, famous for its historic cobbled high street.
Our team currently consists of 1 vet surgeon, 1 Head Nurse, 1 RVN, 1 student Nurse and 2 receptionists. As a very close team they do treasure the occasional pizza lunch!
Our clinic is spacious has recently undergone a refurbishment and is well equipped, with digital xrays, modern in-house laboratory testing facilities, ultrasound, two operating theatres, separate cat, dog and isolation wards.
On site out of hours service provided by Vets Now, allowing for continuity of care for our patients.
